How long until my sealed unit ships?

Standard double-glazed units take 5–7 working days to make and dispatch. Triple-glazed, toughened and laminated units take 10–14 working days. We email you your delivery day the day before.

What warranty do you offer?

Every sealed unit carries a 10-year guarantee against seal failure (condensation between panes) and structural defects. Our fitting work and coatings (Low-E, self-cleaning, solar) are also guaranteed for 10 years. The guarantee covers the original buyer only and doesn't transfer to a new owner.

Are you FENSA registered?

Yes. Pane Relief is FENSA registered for installation work, installer number 43465. FENSA registration confirms our installations comply with Building Regulations Document L (energy efficiency).

What dimensions do I provide?

Measure the visible glass (not the frame), then add 25mm to the width and 25mm to the height, in millimetres.

Do you deliver UK-wide?

Yes, anywhere on mainland UK. Delivery is free to Bristol (BS) postcodes. Everywhere else on the UK mainland it costs £150 + VAT (£180), with no free-delivery threshold. The largest unit we deliver is 2900mm × 1500mm, with a £15 surcharge on any unit over 2000mm.

What postcodes do you cover for installation?

Bristol, Bath, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, plus Gloucester and towns in Wiltshire and Somerset. Elsewhere on the UK mainland we supply units for you or your installer to fit.

What payment terms do you offer?

We don't offer 30-day credit terms.

Can I return a sealed unit if I measured wrong?

Made-to-measure sealed units can't be returned unless faulty or damaged. If you measured wrongly, we remake the unit and you pay the same price again. You can change or cancel free of charge until production starts. Please report any damage within 24 hours of delivery.

What's the difference between a sealed unit and replacement glass?

A sealed unit is a complete double-glazed assembly: two panes of glass bonded around a spacer bar with desiccant, with air or (as an upgrade) argon gas between the panes. Replacement glass is a single pane. If your unit is misted, you need a new sealed unit, not just glass.

Are your units BS EN 1279 compliant?

Yes. Every Pane Relief sealed unit is made by our partner factory to BS EN 1279, the European durability standard for insulated glass units. This covers gas concentration retention, edge seal integrity, and moisture penetration.

How do I measure a sealed unit?

Pane Relief is a trading name of Ollie's Windows Limited. Our sealed units are made to measure for each order, so our returns policy is different from a shop selling standard stock. This policy doesn't affect your statutory rights.

Changing or cancelling an order

You can change or cancel your order free of charge until production starts. To do this, contact us as soon as possible on 0117 330 3057 or at orders@panerelief.co.uk. If you cancel before production starts, we'll refund you in full.

Once production has started, we can't cancel or change the order, because the unit is being made to your measurements.

The 14-day cancellation period

When you buy online you usually have 14 days to change your mind. This right doesn't apply to goods made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised (regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Our sealed units are made to your sizes and specification, so the 14-day cancellation right doesn't apply to them.

Returns

Made-to-measure units can't be returned unless they are faulty or damaged.

Damaged or faulty units

Please check your units when they're delivered. If a unit is damaged or has nicks or blemishes, tell us within 24 hours of delivery, with photos if you can, so we can sort it out quickly. Contact us on 0117 330 3057 or at orders@panerelief.co.uk.

If a unit is faulty, damaged when it reaches you, or not what you ordered, we'll put it right. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you're entitled to a repair or replacement and, in some cases, a refund. Nothing in this policy takes those rights away.

If the measurements were wrong

If you measured, we make the unit to the sizes you gave us. If those sizes turn out to be wrong, we'll remake the unit, and you pay the same price again for the new one.

Refunds

Refunds are made to the payment method you used to order. Your bank or card provider may take a few days to show the money in your account.

Guarantee
